No gimmicks, zero cost, and completely fail proof; this sure fire way to help you feel cool during our exhausting Texas summer heat might not cost you any money, but it will require you to make a slight sacrifice. However, when finished, not only will you not be running your AC to make your house feel cool, but you will feel physically accomplished as well.
Now if you are a frequenter of our social media post you will have seen this secret outed recently, but if not, ready to have your mind blown?! This took every bit of my expansive intellect, Sherlock Holmes equivalent deductive skills, all the common sense my father passed on to me, and 40 minutes of application to achieve. Shall I reveal this earth shattering secret…
Ok, here it is.
Just do an Insanity Max 30 workout and 10 minute ab workout in a 100+ degree enclosed garage, also wearing a wool beanie to keep in the heat trying to escape through your head. Then…walk inside!
Thats it.
Even with my house a moderately warm 84 degrees with the AC off, it felt like I was walking into a cool mountain stream (seriously, because I was drenched with sweat).
Ok, ok, I know what your thinking ‘umm, Grant, it’s not the workout name that is insane, it’s you’. Well you might not be wrong, but neither am I. Look, the Veritas lifestyle, the lifestyle that God calls us to, that is, to be good stewards of our bodies is not an easy one. It is not even all that fun at the time. However, if you can be consistent with it, the benefits are endless; even lowering your energy bills, let alone the amazing feeling your body will have after a few weeks of training.
In less time than it takes you to enviously watch an episode of American Ninja Warrior you could be out there becoming your own version of an American Ninja Warrior: which increases your fitness, which lowers your weight, which increase your self esteem, which lowers your electricity usage, which lowers your impact on the world, which increases our positive stewardship of it, etc. etc. you get the idea.
It is time we start becoming the change we wish to see (thanks Ghandi), so get out there and help yourself, your bottom line, and your environment all in less than 1 hour!
